  1. Nu promit inca, mai am de clarificat ceva. In principiu ma tenteaza. Km estimativ? Cazare undeva? sau e dintr-o buca'?
  2. Clar! La intoarcere poate ne vedem pe undeva la un pahar de povesti. Cu totii!
  3. Problema a fost rezolvata. Mi-am luat echipament de munte de la Himalaya (goretex, 3 straturi ), si o sa=mi iau protectiile peste. Halleluya! Cria, cu siguranta mai vorbim .
  4. Merci mult. Eu am reusit sa iau o zi de concediu si plec de vineri. Ne vedem acolo!
  5. Scuze daca ma repet, dar am spus undeva ca e sfarsitul musonului, in New Delhi sunt vreo 40 de grade in medie, cam ploua, si ajung la 5602 m, unde sunt cateva grade minus noaptea? Ca de-aia sunt asa in pana de idei.... Bonus: e sezon de febra Dengue, deci trebuie sa ma feresc si de tantari.

  7. Errrr, nu chiar. N-am reusit niciodata sa-mi iau concediu asa mult. Dar exista intotdeauna o "prima data", nu? Mesaj completat Va multumesc pentru sfaturile de pana acum. Credeti ca puteti sa-mi dati idei si cam ce gen de echipament sa iau cu mine? Am combinezon de piele, si geaca textila, ghete inalte ghete scurte, manusi de piele (3 variante, cu fara protectii, iarna vara), genunchiere si armura. Astea doua din urma pica, n-am loc in bagaje de ele. Astept idei si sugestii. Multam.
  8. La anu' mai spre iarna planuiesc o Patagonia. Daca ma intorc din India. Biletul pana in Buenos Aires este 860 de euro, apoi este o cursa interna spre Bariloche (27 de dolari), apoi cu motociclete de teren (Honda XR 400) se ajunge in Puerto Madryn, de unde e cursa interna pana in Buenos Aires (tot in jur de 30 de dolari). Pretul e undeva la 2000 de dolari de caciula, ei asigura tot, inclusiv echipament si saci de dormit.   9. N-am plecat inca, plec pe 25 septembrie
  10. Cea mai stupida faza care mi s-a intamplat pana acum. Spun stupida, pentru ca dansurile irlandeze in fata motorului executate cu gratie de caini si pisici pe la Cocarjatii Cotiturii nu se compara in prostie cu acelasi diafan balet executat de un om in toata firea pe un bulevard din centrul Bucurestiului. Cu 3 benzi. Gol (in acea secunda). Cu trecere de pietoni 20 m mai incolo. Revenind: azi am iesit prima data in viata mea fara armura, doar cu cotiere (genunchiere, manusi si casca obligatorii si bai difolt). In primii 500 de m: caine, bou dat cu spatele pana la jumatea strazii, blonda tipicacare nu se uita in oglinda din dreapta si schimba banda. Ma rog, astea subtireanu, se putea si mai rau (o portiera deschisa in fata m-ar fi coafat mai finutz). Fac stanga pe Basarabiei, plecand prima de la semafor, merg pe banda 2 (pe prima niste masini pe avarii). Merg vreo 50 de m, cand vad un nene hotarat sa treaca strada. Il claxonez lejer, sigura ca se va opri. Ei bine, nu. Claxonul icneste a "acusha ma ard, nebuno". Nea Ciumafaie canci. NICI NU A SCHITAT GESTUL SA SE UITE. Merge impasibil, dar incepe un fel de balet a la pisatu' boului. Moment in care realizez ca e unul din acele momente cosmice, cand Shoemaker-Levi intalneste Jupiter in mod inexorabil. Ma uitam, calculand traiectorii, fara sa-mi dau seama pe unde dreaq sa ocolesc idiotu (toate aceste manevre fiind acompaniate de schimbat antaia si franat cu spatele, sa fim intelesi). Hotarasc ca prin spate e cel mai logic, bushesc ghidonul spre dreapta, mobra are suficienta viteza si contravireaza maiestuos spre stanga dar NU! Bipedul misterios se opreste brusc si, FARA SA SE UITE face un pas in spate. Moment in care m-am urcat pe frana spate si am apelat cu incredere si la sora ei cu doua discuri. Roata mea spate a hotarat brusc ca a merge in linie e prea banal, si ca ar putea incerca sa faca o spirala sau ceva. Deja simteam pietonii de pe margine fosnind pungile de popcorn si asezand mai bine ochelarii 3d pe nas, asteptand infrigurati sa ma tavalesc si sa fac si retardu popice. Nu stiu cum l-am evitat, dar, miraculos, am reusit. Cea mai mare bucurie a mea a fost ca n-apucasem sa inchid viziera, asa incat a auzit toate alinturile pe care i le-am servit. Stupid to the maxx.

  12. Pentru IngerAlbastru: Scuze daca s-a inteles cumva ca m-am ofuscat sau ceva in genul. Aia cu bemveu si japoneza s-a vrut o gluma. Am apreciat intentia ta de a ma ajuta. Si-ti multumesc. Pentru Marius: eu m-am hotarat acu vreo saptamana si ceva. Am cautat bilete de avion si cand cautam pe net sa vad ce-as putea sa vad am dat de turul cu trotineta. Am scris, am primit raspuns, am dat cu banu si gata. Banu' adica am platit biletu cu salariul si acu fac fuamea, si am platit avansul excursiei cu banii stransi pentru Dereu' de 3 jumate (sa-i fie tarana usoara). Restul de bani...ma descurc eu pana in septembrie.
  13. Ce am postat eu este un filmuletz cu imagini din traseul ales de mine. Eu am contactat toate firmele care ofera asa ceva, i-am rugat sa-mi trimita oferte si am ales cea mai buna oferta. Am avut o varianta si mai ieftina, dar nu aveam pe nimeni cu mine intre nodurile traseului. Nu am riscat chiar asa mult pentru 300 de euro cat era diferenta. Ce am ales eu ca varianta imi ofera un jeep care merge in spatele meu cu bagajele si un mecanic. Mesaj completat Nu ma pot abtine sa nu observ similitutinea intre ce scrie aici si un BMW, si ce vreau eu sa fac si o japonezana.

Adica ar fi minunat sa fie cum zici tu, dar din cate stiu eu, o sa fiu doar eu si un jip cu bagajele si un mecanic intr-insul.) ITINERARY Day 01 (26th Sept / Sat): Arrival Delhi : Up on arrival at Delhi airport met our representative and transfer to a hotel, after having some rest proceed for sightseeing, and visit New Delhi / Old Delhi monuments, dinner & over night stay at Hotel, Day 02 (27th Sept / Sun) : Delhi - Shimla (340 Km / 7 - 8 hrs) Start early in the morning to avoid city traffic on your drive to Shimla. En-route, stop for lunch at picturesque Parwanoo. Continue your drive to Shimla, on arrival check in at hotel, overnight stay at hotel. Day 03 (28th Sept / Mon) : Shimla - Sarahan (185 Kms/7-8 hrs) After breakfast, drive to Sarahan. The former Capital of Bushahar Empire, Sarahan is a wonderful little village located amidst lush green and beautiful surroundings of Deodar forests. Visit the historical Bhimakali temple, having an unusual architecture and wealth of carvings, a fine example of Hindu-Buddhist architecture. Deep down in the alley flows the river Sutlej and across lies the scenic snow-clad Shrikhand Peak , overnight stay at Sarahan. Day 04 (29th Sept / Tue) : Sarahan - Sangla - Kalpa (149 Kms/ 7 - 8 hrs) After breakfast, we move on from Sarahan, delving deeper into the breathtaking, secret world of the Kinnaur and Spiti Valleys . Ride on to Wangtu and further to Kar Cham and move down to right to Sangla, a picturesque little village with a small population, famous for its trout fishing possibilities. Situated on the slope with houses rising one above the other, and the Kinner-Kailash Peak towering behind, Sangla is also known for the impressive and historical Kamru Fort, which has now been dedicated to the Kamakshi Temple . Continue Motor Bike safari to Kalpa. En-route cross Powari and proceed to Recong Peo (7 Km). Both places have the most stupendous settings in all of Himachal Pradesh. Enjoy a spectacular view of the mighty Kinnaur Kailash Mountain Ranges from anywhere up the road. Located at an altitude of 2,670m, Kalpa is also famous for good quality Chilgoza, Dinner and overnight in tents. Day 05 (30th Sept / Wed) : Kalpa - Tabo (163 Kms/ 7 - 8 hrs) After an early morning breakfast, start riding on Sutlej Bed and in the surrounding lush green forest. Drive 18 km from Powari to Ribba. This region is also known for the famous Kinnaur apples, grapes and the alcohol distilled from grapes. There are a number of bridges you will cross en-route. Then drive to Ribba to Puh (40Km) while riding on the paved road on the Bank of the Sutlej River , known as the Indo-Tibetan road. In northwest direction one can distinctly see some snow-covered peaks in the Pin Valley Range (subject to clear weather). After crossing the cantonment of the Puh, come out of the Gorge of Khab (another 11 Km). Khab is the point where two rivers, Tabo and Sutlej merge, producing the resounding sound. Navigate the hairpin bends and ride ahead for 24 km on paved road till Yangthang. Descend to Yangthang, considered as the ideal entry point in the Land of Lamas . From Yangthang the road condition also deteriorates to unpaved in between some loose mud and mountain river crossing till Chango (3,658 m). From Chango drive another 8 Km in arid landscape till Sumdo, Another 9 Km drive in the plateau area, takes you to Hoorling and from here 24 Km ride ends up in Tabo. Visit Tabo Gompa (temple). Founded in 996 AD, the Gompa has some of the best-preserved examples of Indo-Tibetan art remaining in the world, Dinner and overnight in the tent. Day 06 (1st Oct / Thu) : Tabo - Losar (171 Km) In the morning, leave for Kaza (3,600 meters), at about 47 Km from Tabo and then to Kibber, 18Km up, Visit the scenic Kibber Village (4,025m) and the famous Ki-Monastery (4,116m). Though the distance to Ki is not much, but you have to ascend a height of more than 1,000 M on a difficult road. Ki is the oldest and largest Gompa in Spiti having a spectacular location. Later, ride down to Rangrik and then into the barren landscape in a gorge for next 30 Km to Hanse (3,950m) clinging to the road cliffs and the unpaved stretch of roads with not many villages falling en-route. Then, ride further 20Km to arrive at Losar (4,079m), Dinner and overnight camping at Losar. Day 07 (2nd Oct / Fri): Losar - Jispa (174Km) Enjoy an early morning ride up to Kunzum Pass (4,551 m) & then proceed to visit the picturesquely beautiful Chandratal Lake (4,270m), about 12 Km from the Pass. Spend some time and enjoy the spectacular beauty of the surroundings around the lake, Thereafter, drive to Batal- Chatru - Gramphoo and then to Tandi. Have your lunch en-route. Later, proceed to Keylong, Dinner and overnight in the hotel at Keylong. Day 08 (3rd Oct / Sat) : Jispa - Sarchu (104 Km) After breakfast, drive to Jispa-Darcha and proceed through the hairpin bends entering into the Higher Himalayan Range . After reaching the top of the gorge, drive straight to Himmatnagar Cantonment. It is again an unpaved stretch of the Patseo & ZinZing Bar hairpins bends, as you get closer to Suraj Tal. Then, proceed to Baralacha La (4,883m). Later, descend down to arrive at Bharatpur. Enjoy your packed lunch and enter to the gorge of Sarchu. Come out of the gorge after crossing the bridge and enter the Sarchu Plateau (4,100m). Here you can enjoy a cool and refreshing breeze, soothing your body and nerves, Dinner and overnight in tents at Sarchu. Day 09 (4th Oct / Sun) : Sarchu - Leh (246 Km) Today, you will enjoy a long but pleasurable ride. Ride in the plateau area for next 30 Km with a good speed but be cautious of the bad patches en-route. Ascend the road bends of Gata Loops early in the morning to beat the uphill traffic and scale the height of Takh (3,950m) and then it is a downhill. Cross over the low-lying road in the stream and ascend uphill again to the height of Lachung La Pass (5,060m) about 54 km from Sarchu. Then, drive downhill for 25 km till you hit the base of bridge before Pang (4,630m). Ensure to cross over Pang before 12.00 noon as traffic is not allowed in afternoon. Later, cross Tanglang La (75km from Pang) and another 30 km to Rumtse. Thereafter, proceed further to Leh, the saddle of Buddhist Culture, Dinner and overnight in the hotel in Leh. Day 10 (5th Oct / Mon) : Leh Day at leisure for own personal activities, Bike Maintenance, Leave the bike with the mechanic and explore the delights of Leh on your own. Visit the 16th Leh Century Palace (once the seat of power), the splendid World Peace Pagoda and the busy marketplace. Day 11 (6th Oct / Tue) : Leh - Khardung La – Leh In the morning ride to the world's highest motorable road, Khardung La, At 18,380 feet (5,602m); the ride will take a few hours of climbing out of Leh. After exploring the area back to Leh, Dinner and overnight stay at hotel. Day 12 (7th Oct / Wed) : Leh - Delhi Board an early morning flight from Leh airport for Delhi . On arrival at Delhi , on arrival transfer you at Delhi Hotel, evening free for rest dinner & over night stay at Hotel, Day 13 (8th Oct / Thu) : Delhi – Agra – Delhi Early Morning after breakfast, proceed to take an excursion tour to Agra The coming of Babar heralded a new era, which was to see Agra at its zenith during the reign of Akbar, Jehangir and Shah Jahan. It was during Akbar's period that Agra became the center of art, culture and commerce and learning. This trend reached its height when Shah Jahan became the ruler. In the Mid 16th century and earlier 17th century Agra witnessed a frenzied building activity and it was during this time when the symbol of love Taj Mahal was built. The buildings made during this era were purely in the contemporary Mughal style and of very high quality. The same is still reflected in whatever monuments remain in Agra . The narrow lanes of Agra filled with aroma of Mughlai cuisine, the craftsman who are busy in crating master pieces with their skill all remind of the Mughal royalty which this city had once experienced. Today whatever remains, has become a major tourist attraction which has taken Agra again to the heights of glory but this time as a major tourist destination of India . Proceed for sightseeing. TAJ MAHAL one of the Seven Wonders of the World was built by Shah Jahan in 1631 AD and was completed in 1651AD. Taj Mahal - The symbol of Love was built in the memory of Mumtaz Mahal (Shah Jahan' s second Wife). AGRA FORT Built by the famed Mughal emperor Akbar in 1565 AD, the fort is predominantly of red sandstone. Ensconced within is the picture perfect Pearl Mosque, which is a major tourist attraction. Day 13 (9th Oct / Fri) : Departure Early Morning drop you at International airport to catch the flight for next destination,
  15. Multumesc de incurajari, mai fratilor! Musonul se termina pe 15 sept (aprox), de mancat stiu cum mananca, m-am imprietenit cu o familie de medici din Bombay printr-una din peregrinarile mele. Mi-au dat prajiturele de la ei intr-o zi. Rosul nu era colorant, era boia de ardei iute. Vaccinurile sunt facute, imi iau dexametazona cu mine pentru altitudine si deocamdata fac 80-100 de bazine de 3 ori pe saptamana pentru policitemie, pana reusesc sa ma lipesc de o hiperbara ( o sa ajung la 5602 m, cel mai inalt drum practicabil cu motocicleta din lume, zic ei). Mobra am vazut-o, am analizat, preconizez multiple vanatai si eventual ceva mici fracturi. Sunt medic, daca se indoaie ceva stim sa punem la loc. Cat despre conditii de gazare, am o idee vaga. Nu-s fitzoasa, dorm si-n cap, si-n aer liber, de obicei ma spal cu apa rece, nu-s friguroasa si am mancat de toate ( de la viermi mopane in Africa, la carne de cangur in Australia). Pe principiul "daca nu se zbate verde si nu are iz de putresceina" e comestibil. Da, e 3000, dar 3000 de dolari pentru 2 persoane. Pentru o persoana e 2450 de dolari, ceea ce inseamna 1720 de euro. Biletul de avion l-am luat la oferta cu 460 de euro. Hai ca nu-i dracul chiar asa de negru. Ce poate sa mi se intample?

  17. Imi trebuie o casca M spre S, si echipament pt mine (172 cm 56 de kile). Problema ar mai fi si faptul ca ce-am probat ma supara la bust (nu radeti, e nasol - nu bustul, lol). Nu gasesc ceva special pentru fete, trebuie sa fie pe undeva. Multumesc anticipat. Tasha.
  18. Am intrebat intai printre cunoscuti. N-a vrut nimeni. Am zis ca ar fi frumos sa intreb si aici, poate vrea cineva. E in jur de 2000 de euro cu totul (avion, motor, papa, gazare) , asigura mecanic si jeep satelit. 13 zile, Royal Enfield Bullet Electra 500 cc (deci pornire la boton, nu la manivela). Cu cat suntem mai multi, cu atat e mai ieftin. Eu merg oricum, mi-am platit deja tot, viza pe 15 august. Pentru info suplimentare astept pm. Tasha.
