Kalin Kulev and MSK Shumen have the pleasure to invite you to

the 2007 Shumen Enduro

 

On the 16th, 17th and 18th of November, Shumen will host the annual for the third year in a row, an enduro race for motorcycles and ATV's - the IXth and last race from the 2007 Bulgarian National Enduro Championship (NEC). This already traditional race will feature the best enduro ATV and Motorcycle racers in Bulgaria. This where the final battle for the 2007 title will take place.

 

During the last VIII races from the NEC since the beginning of 2007, more than 130 motorcycle and more than 80 ATV pilots have participated.

 

In 2006, the Shumen Enduro came in a two-day format. The starting grid included 35 motorcycles and 25 ATV's. In front of a public of 6000 people, the fastests on two wheels was Georgi Todorov, while Edi Penchev was the fastest in the ATV category. The prise fund was more than 3000 Euros.

After the race, the largest part of the racers qualified the it as "the best enduro race ever held in Bulgaria".

 

This year, Shumen Enduro will last three days. For the first time in Bulgaria, a Hill Climb race will be held. The hillclimb race will be held outside of the points for the main race, and will run for the 750 Euros price from the MOTOBUM sotre.

 

The newly established MSC-Shumen, as well as the organisational comitee of the Shumen Enduro will join their efforts in making this years competition a real offroad fest and a spectacle for the visitors, as well as an incredible challenge towards the pilots.

 

The race is an open race. Participants from foreign countries are exempt of participation fee.

Short rulebook:

I.Race organisers:

1. Kalin Kulev, MSK Shumen and the Enduro comission at the BMF are the official organisers of the IXth race from the Bulgarian National Endur Championship (NEC)

 

II. PARTICIPATION REQUESTS:

1. Requests for paricipation can be made the 16.11. 2007 at the secretary office of the Shumen Enduro.

2. All candidates holding a valide racing license can participate. A single-use licens can be obtained on site.

 

III.RULES:

1. The race follows the rules of the Enduro Comission at BFM.

2. The race is a three days race. Participation is not mandatory the first day, and the results obtained do not count for the main results.

 

IV TRACK

1. Friday 16.11.2007?. Hill Climbing *see attached

2. Saturday 17.11.2007?. navigation - approximately 120km.( GPS and markers)

3 Sunday 18.11.2007?. Closed course (Enduro-Cross)

 

V.CLASSES:

1. Racers are separated in classes as follows:

1. Children - One class for all

2. Juniors - One class for all

3. Ladies - One class for all

4.ATV "Hobby" - One class for all

5.Men, motorcycles, "Hobby" - One class for all

6. Men, motorcycles "Expert"

1.Overall (Motorcycle, one class for all)

2.E1 (From 100cc to 125cc 2T + from 175cc to 250cc 4T )

3.E2 ( From 175cc to 250cc 2T+ from 290cc to 450cc 4T )

4.E3 ( From 290cc to 500cc 2T + from 475cc to 650cc 4T)

 

7. ATV "Expert" - One class for all

 

VI. RESULTS

1. The results count separately towards every class, as well as together towards the OVERALL class, for the three motorcycle classes.

2. The first twenty racers earn points as follows:

1-st - 25 points

2-nd - 22

3-rd - 20

4-th - 18

5-th - 16

6-th - 15

7-th - 14

...............

20-th - 1 point

3. Enduro cross:

1-st - 10 points

2-nd - 9

3-rd - 8

.........

10-th- 1 point

4. The final result for the race is determined by the number of points earned during the two days - the winner is the one with the most points.

5. When two racers win the same amount of points, the winner of the two is the one who gives the better results during the navigation.

 

VII.RACING WITH GPS

1. The GPS track is uploaded to the racer's GPS device on Friday night by the coordinator in charge from the Enduro Comission for the race.

2. Any deviation from the track by more than 100m is considered premeditated and the racer will be subject to penalties.

3. Any racer who has left the track has to re-enter in the track from the same point from which he left the track. Re-entry at any other point of the track is considered premeditated and the racer will be subject to penalties.

4. After the finish, the racer has to make his/her GPS device available for verification.

5. It is mandatory for every racer to switch his/her GPS device to the "track plotting" (track log) option before the race, so he/she can prove an accurate following of the GPS track.

6. One GPS device can be shared between a maximum of two racers from the Expert class, or a maximum of four racers from the Hobby class.

 

VIII. PRISE

1. A trophy will be awarded to the racers finishing in I-st, II-nd and III-rd positions in every racing class.

2. A reward from the sponsor's fund will be awarded to the racers finishing in I-st, II-nd and III-rd positions.

3. A trophy will be awarded to the racers finishing in I-st, II-nd and III-rd positions in the hill climbing race

 

4. The winner of the hill climbing race will also win a 1500 BGN (approx Euro 750) credit to spend in any MOTOBUM store in Bulgaria.

Hill Climbing

MOTOBUM prise

 

I. Miscelaneous.

1. Hill climbing is a race consisting in climbing a steep hill.

2. The race is NOT mandatory, IS NOT a part of nor the race or the championship, it does not bring points and the results in this race do not impact on the final results for the main enduro race.

3. The race is a exhibition race with a separate prise

4. Due to the specifics of the race, ATV's are not allowed participation.

5. All motorcycles race in the same class.

 

II. Participation

1. Every racer admitted to the main Enduro race is allowed to participate to the Hill Climb race.

2. There is no entry fee for the race

 

III. Track

1. A 117m long steep straight line, with markers for the distance travelled.

 

IV. Rules

1. Every racer is allowed three attempts, the best result is the one that counts.

2. If two or more racers manage to finish the whole track with the same result, a final race is made to determine the winner.

3. The accuracy of the metering system is 1m.

 

V. Results

1. The winner is the racer who reached the further / higher waypoint.

 

VII. Technical requirements

1. Motorcycles are allowed in the configuration in which they participated to the main Enduro race (enduro, motocross motorcycles), with no technical changes.

2. Technical changes such as lenghtened swingarms, different front forks, etc.

3. Using tires with spikes, as well as other devices allowing better traction, is not allowed.
