Schema Releu Regulator Magnetou

Uite toata discutia:

"Simple Japanese motorcycle lighting systems like you describe were called

"balanced systems."

The voltage generated by the lighting coils was balanced by the load of the

lighting system.

If the headlight bulb burned out, you could expect the

tail light and instrument lights to burn out shortly afterwards, as all the

current went to the other bulbs.

I only had it happen once, and that was after the guy at the parts counter

described the problem. I wanted to see if he was kidding me, so I twisted the

throttle after the headlight burned out, and all the other lights went out too.

Oh, well...

The Japanese engineers really didn't expect their machines to be ridden at

night very much, anyway, and their systems were good enough for the expected

daylight usage. Most of those little Japanese bike

spent their whole lives in the back of somebody's garage anyway...

Now, something you should know about unregulated

alternator/rectifier/battery systems is that a properly

balanced system cannot generate a voltage very much higher than the battery it

is connected to.

This is a phenomenon called "diode clamping."

That's the principle of the unregulated charging system.

If the rectifier works, the only way the charging system voltage could ever get

higher than the battery voltage is if the alternator gets disconnected from the

battery, or if the battery is no good.

In other words, if you have a nominal six volt system,

with a three-cell battery, you shouldn't expect to see much more than 6.6 volts

across the battery terminals.

Open circuit voltage checks are NEVER advisable, because the enamel insulation

on the lighting coil wires is only good for about 15 volts anyway.

Running the bike without a battery, or running it with the battery disconnected

is a good way to ruin the alternator coils.

Also, the cheap plastic connectors used in the electrical system will melt if

there is a loose connection, and this aggravates the problem, creating a high

resistance point at the loose connection, raising system voltage, creating more

heat, and on and on.

So you should inspect your whole system for melted wires and melted connectors,

or loose connections. "

"What you need for a six volt system is a Zener diode, rated at about 7 volts,

or whatever.

You attach the positive side of the zener to the center of a bridge of two

resistors. One resistor is a

1000 ohm 1/4 watt resistor. The 1000-ohm resistor

is attached to the positive terminal of the battery.

The other resistor is 100 K to 1 Meg, 1/4 watt, and it is hooked to ground.

The output side of the zener diode is hooked to the gate of a silicon control

rectifier. The input side of the

SCR is hooked to the output coil of the alternator, and the output of the SCR

is grounded.

Whenever alternator voltage rises above the Zener threshold, the Zener sends a

signal to the SCR, and the SCR shunts the extra voltage to ground for half a

cycle.

The SCR turns the excessive AC voltage into heat.

Then the SCR shuts off, and waits for the next cycle. "

Mentionez ca toata discutia se poarta despre Suzuki RV90 din 1974 (2

Stroke, magneto powered, 6 volt electrical system)

Sper sa te ajute. Bafta!

Magnetoul este oarecum asemanator cu alternatorul numai ca are magneti permanenti in loc de bobine.

:friends:

Am verificat, asa este are magnetou :drink:

Eu habar nu aveam.

E bine daca ai rezolvat problema.
