bhairava Postat August 4, 2004 Share Postat August 4, 2004 **** start of release **** Official Announcement from Honda Japan Inc. 11:30 EST CBR1000RR Fireblade Recall Following a small number of incidents where the front wheel has locked, causing the rider to crash, Honda Japan has today issued an emergency recall notice to all 2004 Fireblade owners, in order to make urgent safety modifications. Although only one bike has crashed so far, the high speed involved has alerted us to the possibility that riders could be seriously injured if similar accidents occur. The accident in question is known to have affected a Fireblade during a recent public racetrack demonstration day in Australia. The rider, who escaped with relatively minor injuries, was an experienced rider and made the following observation: "Fuck me!" Careful analysis of the remains of the machine revealed a possible design flaw that will be corrected by your dealer free of charge. The flaw relates to a missing part. The modification only requires that you ride your Fireblade to the dealer, whereupon our trained technicians will carefully remove the top of your head and fit a brain. The new brain will allow you to understand basic motorcycle principles such as "The front brake will not work when the wheel is in the air." and other useful advanced riding procedures. Please note that only basic specification brains are available and so must be removed for racing or when going to the pub with your mates. **** end of release **** Citează Link spre comentariu Distribuie pe alte site-uri
