Daca ai sa fii atent la transmisia televizata, ai sa vezi ca in partea stanga a ecranului, grafica iti arata un clasament in timp (quasi) real. Orice depasire se produce in pluton, se va regasi in grafica transmisiei. Foarte putine. In general, regia de transmisie isi face treaba si cand apar situatii interesante in pluton, le da in direct, dar daca nu se intampla nimic, ce sa transmita?

“But in this circuit, it’s two things: you overtake like [Brad] Binder [in the sprint], where all the overtakes were on the limit, but were very good and was impressive to watch because it’s so difficult.

    ...

“I think it’s the layout,” Espargaro said. “This track is very, very small, like a karting [track], with a lot of grip.

    ...

“In tracks like this it’s very difficult. There are circuits with no grip, circuits with a lot of grip, there are small circuits like this one.

“We have to race everywhere, but I don’t like these types of circuits because there is no show.

“It’s very boring, very small. But we have to race everywhere. It’s true with these types of bikes, you need bigger layouts.

“These bikes have a lot of downforce, really fast at turning, so in small tracks like this it’s impossible [to overtake].”

    https://www.gpone.com/en/2023/09/05/motogp/albesiano-this-aprilia-doesnt-need-quartararo-or-marquez.html

In your opinion, is today's Aprilia ready for a Marquez or a Quartararo?

I think the bike is mature and the team is too. But it's not in our plans in the short term. We have four riders who are fantastic, we have improved together with Aleix, he has improved in maturity, ability to work with the team, making the right really nice requests. In my opinion, this gives you the idea of how much a rider can evolve. For example, if I apply this evolution to Maverick, who is already at very high levels, and maybe improves on some aspects like consistency or something else, I think we're talking about a rider with crazy potential. I'm speaking as a friend and fan, for me as long as Aleix wants to continue and goes strong like this, the bike is there for him in Aprilia. The same for Maverick, I expect a lot from him, much more than what we have seen up to now, today which is already a lot. He can make another step up. Oliveira is a wonderful rider. I don't know where he would be without the bad luck he has had up to today, he made an awesome start. As soon as there is a chance he is ahead. Then he has an intelligence, an approach that is wonderful. Then I'm also in love with Raul Fernandez, because I think he has enormous talent and just needs support, calm, a company that believes in him and we are that company. We will give him plenty of time to grow and show his worth which we believe is very high. Then if Marquez is free or Quartararo is free, I wouldn't say we need them in particular.

    https://www.motorsportmagazine.com/articles/motorcycles/motogp/danilo-petrucci-changing-tyre-brands-can-be-harder-than-changing-bikes/

Let’s start a corner from the beginning – how do the Michelin, Dunlop and Pirelli compare in braking?

The construction and generally also the compounds of the Pirellis are softer, so this is the main characteristic of these tyres. They are a commercial tyre, that even amateur riders can use, and I must say they are very good because you can feel all the movements of the bike.

In braking I was used to a really strong front tyre construction, first with the Bridgestones [MotoGP’s spec tyres from 2009 to 2015] and then with the Michelins, so with these tyres you really need to stop the bike in straight braking. The Dunlops are very strong in this point because the construction is so hard.

Then you have the area where you are going into the corner, with a lot of lean angle and a lot of front brake pressure. The Michelin and Dunlop aren’t strong in this point, because they’re really hard.

The front Pirelli’s construction isn’t hard, so you cannot push a lot in straight braking, but you can stop the bike with some lean angle. The carcass is soft, so it moves around, but it’s really grippy and you need to adapt yourself to this movement, but the bike stays on line so you can really stop the bike in this area.

You can’t do this with the Michelin or Dunlop fronts because they have a stronger construction, so you need to stop the bike before in straight braking, then you need to release the brake.

There’s a huge lesson for race promoters here: fans are ready for something different. And if you want your championship to survive and thrive you need to give fans what they want.

    ....

And don’t tell me that it’s impossible to race a naked Kawasaki Z1000R, a KTM Super Duke or a BMW R1250GS. Anyone can race anything, as proven by the baggers and Asia’s underbone championships.

    ....

I rarely watch World Superbikes because I spend a lot of time covering MotoGP, so when I have a weekend off I want to think about something other than motorbike racing. Also, why watch WSB when it’s pretty much like watching MotoGP, because modern superbikes are essentially street-legal MotoGP bikes, so they look pretty much the same, sound pretty much the same and go around racetracks pretty much the same?

    ....

My new WSB classes would run under superstock-type rules – a lowish purchase price cost cap, limited modifications and so on. And the headline classes would change every few years, to keep fans interested and to discourage manufacturers from investing too much money in transforming their production nakeds and adventure bikes into full-on racers.

  10. Am aproape 9k km cu 1290sar model 2022. Vin de pe Tiger 800 2018 pe care am facut ~100.000km.

    https://www.motogp.com/en/news/2023/08/22/lcr-honda-castrol-confirm-zarco-signature-for-2024/476458

LCR Honda Castrol is proud to announce the signing of Johann Zarco. The two-time Moto2™ World Champion French rider will join the team in 2024 on a two-year contract.

    https://www.crash.net/motogp/news/1033760/1/theory-touted-ktm-want-marc-marquez-mv-agusta

KTM has a 25% stake in MV Agusta and so, if they were to acquire extra grid slots, might choose to rebrand some RC16s in the same way that Tech3 races with GASGAS colours.

However, since the bikes would still presumably be full RC16s, it would not solve KTM’s current sticking point with Dorna, which is reserving the ex-Suzuki grid slots for a ‘new manufacturer’.

"Do you know what KTM's dream is? Do you know what marketing exercise KTM really wants to do in the future? Having Marc Marquez on an MV Agusta," explains journalist Ricard Jove.

"That's the play they'd like and it can be.

"What remains to be seen is to what extent the championship can allow KTM to be painted [as an] MV Agusta or to make a bike significantly different from the KTM.

“But that is the objective and I think it is a very good marketing exercise if it is achieved.

    https://www.crash.net/motogp/news/1033704/1/johann-zarco-explains-lcr-move-honda-has-power-come-back

“I had to think for a few weeks about it,” Zarco told MotoGP.com. “[Despite] doing these good results for three years with the Pramac team, it has been tough to sign again now.

“There are many competitive Ducatis, many young guys, so it seems it was tough to have another signature and even it was not sure if we were going to be with Pramac or another team in Ducati.

“So the offer and discussion with Honda and Cecchinello was pretty interesting. I get the opportunity to have a project for two years, at 33 years old. It’s quite good to project yourself and, as a sportsman, do the best you can.

    ...

“I don't have the same character as Alex Rins and with the different experiences from Yamaha, KTM, the Honda for three races, I even tried the Suzuki seven years ago. And now I’ve got four years on the Ducati. So I try to adapt myself to many situations,” Zarco said.

“Alex won the race in Austin. That was incredible. But then he has been struggling and he got also the injury so has been a tough time for him.

“I don't know how things inside [HRC] was for him, but it's a challenge I take and I think with the experience I have, I'm ready to control the situation as well as possible.”

Zarco also insists he is much better prepared for the challenge ahead than when he made the short-lived switch to KTM.

“It's going to be different because my life is different now. I grew up as a sportsman, and I can see the situation with one step back. When I jumped from the Yamaha to the KTM, I wanted to win races at any cost, so that's why I've been feeling very bad when I was really back of the classification. That's why I said to KTM, ‘better to stop than pay me for nothing’.

“Now it's another mentality. And as I say, I take it as a project, that is pretty good, Because saving these two years in MotoGP is the best place to be, and is also the place I want to be because I'm very competitive.

“So that's why I want to live well this challenge and I will live it better than I did in KTM because I'm just more mature. So I know that in case of problems, I will handle myself much better than in the past.”

    https://www.crash.net/motogp/news/1033700/1/bezzecchi-i-have-already-made-my-decision-soon-i-will-communicate-it

Speaking about his future after securing P3 in Austria, Bezzecchi said: “Vale is pushing a lot to be honest and I really appreciate this. To be pushed but the goat is something no one in the world can say this.

“I have already made my decision but I cannot tell you what I will do. Soon I will communicate it but it was fantastic to have this celebration [post-race] with Pecco and the VR46 riders.”

When asked about Rossi pushing him and what he meant by that, Bezzecchi added: "I think Vale is pushing more to have me in the team.

"We have spoken a lot and seen each other many times at home. He is pushing me a lot to stay and I’m happy for this."
