With three rounds in, Acosta managed to score two full distance Podium finishes. Many see Acosta among the World Championship contenders. One of them is Ducati Team Manager, Davide Tardozzi. Tardozzi is apparently "afraid" that Pedro Acosta could become 2024 World Champion instead of them. As Tardozzi said. "Acosta will be one of the drivers who will compete in the world championship in the future and I fear for us that he could do it again this year. They are supported by good motorcycles and are making a difference. Ducati still has very competitive riders, we have the World Champion, Martin at the head of the championship, Bastianini second in the standings, we are surely not going to get discouraged in a race that has gone very well because we did not win. There are 36 more races left and the championship is still long."
