Ducati has finally discovered the root cause behind Francesco Bagnaia's declining performance throughout the 2025 MotoGP season :

Many blamed engine changes for the cause, but Ducati confirmed that the real cause lay with the 2025 version of the ride-height device. This device allegedly altered the bike's balance at critical moments, making it difficult for Bagnaia to control the front end during corner entry. When he returned to the old version at Motegi, his performance immediately improved dramatically and he dominated the weekend.

But the drama continued at Mandalika, when Bagnaia again slumped due to problems with his Michelin rear tire, which was deemed unsuitable for the extreme conditions in Lombok.
